About Jordyne

Dr. Jordyne Carmack is a leadership and communication professional who believes every person can lead with excellence by leading from the heart. As a corporate speaker and trainer, she specializes in helping leaders identify and understand the strengths and experiences that make them unique – and leverage this authenticity to communicate more effectively for greater impact.

After nearly a decade as a college professor, Dr. Carmack now provides engaging leadership and communication training for businesses and non-profits in Kentucky and around the US. Creator of the ACT Framework for Communication Excellence, Dr. Carmack teaches leaders to be authentic, clear, and trustworthy as they lead their teams through the next technological revolution. In 2023, she spoke at or emceed 20+ events including TEDxDanville, P31 Womenpreneur conference, BRIGHT Leadership Kentucky, NKY Women in Business Regional Summit, the KY Women in Ag State Conference, Junior Achievement Miss Business, private business annual events, and more. She also currently serves as non-profit executive director of Leadership Tri-County, a leadership program in southeastern Kentucky and as the co-chair of the Women in Business initiative for the London-Laurel Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Carmack is also the host of the authentic leadership development podcast, Women of the Bluegrass. Dr. Carmack has a PhD in Leadership from University of the Cumberlands, a graduate degree in integrated marketing communication from West Virginia University, and undergraduate degrees in Theatre Arts and Communication. She has certifications in Design Thinking from IDEO, Everything DiSC©, co.starters (entrepreneurship training), and Quality Matters (QM) instructional design. She is a graduate of Leadership Kentucky’s ELEVATE program (Class of 2023), Leadership Tri-County (Class of 2020), and a fellow of the Kopenhaver Center for the Advancement of Women in Communication. Originally from Texas, she now calls southeastern Kentucky home, along with her husband, her daughter, and two dogs.
